Title: Tunnel trouble
Post by: KICKSTART on September 10, 2009, 08:23:51 AM
Well i feel like a real old crock today with all my moans and groans ! Can anyone tell me does a tunnel line ever settle down? As in become less noticable ? You know the doc that put it in made a botch , but now the stitches and it embedding in have been sorted im told its coming along nicely. But its very very visible under my skin and can be quite uncomfortable when i turn my head, even so i feel it constantly pressing against the side of neck (this is the part that is under my skin) does it ever get easier or am i just sensitive ?
By the way  a bit of good news ! .. My latest bloods have come back really good ! In fact my levels are better than they ever where on PD ! and i got more iron today ! woohoo. I will soon be doing cartwheels !!! My phos is even nearly bang on without binders !!  :cheer:

 KS, my tunnel was very uncomfortable for a couple of months I reckon.  It felt like a light coat was on a clothes hanger that had been put on my collarbone.  Hurt most when I turned my neck.  The first one was too long and had to be redone one week later.  However, it did settle down eventually, worked fine and came out easily after several months.

Don't know the answer to your question but wanted to say how pleased I am to hear about all your bloods etc.  That must make you feel that all this hassle is probably worth it.  Thinking of you  :grouphug;

My chest and neck lines always hurt.  I hated them. Dread getting another.
