Hello everybody on IHD!

My name is Mandy, and I'm 22 years old. I do not have kidney disease, but I am however, an ex-dialysis tech. I worked at two different clinics in Ohio at Fresenius Medical Care. I decided to quit my job a few months back because it became hard to meet such wonderful people and watch them suffer and unfortunately, pass away. But I do think about my old patients often, which is how I stumbled across IHD.

I hope that with my knowledge of dialysis I have learned in the past, I can help you answer questions you may have. I still want in some small way to help those suffering with kidney disease. The patients I have had in the past have changed my life, and I hope I can somehow makes things a little better and a little less confusing for you! Well, I guess that's all for now!

Great to have you wish us Mandy. That's really sweet that you still want to help and obviously cared about your patients very much and seeing that side of life has obviously had a real impact on you. I think it's great you want to give something back!

Thank you everybody! I really look forward to getting to know you all, and vice versa! I really do have so much respect for all of you, I can't imagine it's easy to have renal failure. I know sometimes techs can be a huge pain in the rear, but I hope you realize you have made an impact on at least some of us!

It is nice to see someone who worked with dialysis patients on the site. Welcome.  It is nice of you to want to do something for dialysis patients still. Maybe you can join RSNhope.org and volunteer.
