Title: Anyone on Liberty Cycler? Need Help Quick
Post by: Restorer on July 28, 2009, 11:15:53 PM
Does anyone here use the Fresenius Liberty cycler with extra patient connectors? I don't know what they're called... I want to try incorporating my evening dwell into the cycler's programming rather than using a manual bag, but since I have the extra-long patient lines, I don't have a second connector already on the line so that I can disconnect while the cycler's on a pause.

My supply order is due tomorrow, and I'd like to be able to order a set of those connectors, but I don't know what they're called or in what form they come. Can someone who orders this part regularly let me know what to say?

Hmm.. I think they're just called connectors.. I just say whatever word I can think of to the fresenius people and they figure it out usually ;) I use the extra long ones as well so I only have one connector.  I've been trying to figure out how to use the same cassette to finish my daytime dwell.. but i haven't quite gotten it yet.

I think what you're looking for is called the Multiple Tubing Segment Set with Stay-safe PIN Technology (or a "y" set).  The Fresenius catalog no. is 050-50758.  This allows you to detach and re-attach an extra two times during your treatment.  Hope this helps.
