So tonight I was on dailysis and after about an hour and a half I kept getting a 51 alarm whcih is basically the machine getting to hot, technically the code says the solution is to warm. So after turning off the "warmer" and waiting over 40 minutes for a code 52 which means it's ok now, I kept getting the 51 alarm, so I called NxStage and we troubleshooted and discoved the exhaust fan located above the computer module stopped working. So the internal temperature was getting to hot inside the machine and that was the reason for the alarm. The good thing is that the machine was still removing excess fluid but the bad news is it wasn't cleaning my blood.
So now we will see how fast they can ship me a new machine. I called them about 8:30pm on Saturday night and the tech put the order in for me to have my machine swapped. I had told her I didn't dialize on Friday and I only got a hour and a half of treatment in tonight so she will do what she can to get me a machine by tomarrow. So now I wait.

Sorry you had trouble Epoman, but this will be a great test of their customer service. Hope you get it today.
Did it let you flush the system or did you have to do it manually? From what you posted I get the impression that the pump was still running.
Don't mean to bombard you with questions, but one more. When you were training and had to go 2 days, could you tell a big difference in the way you felt over just skipping 1 day?

Cool!

I'd keep the old machine for PARTS! ???

Glad to hear it worked out so swiftly. I was just imagining the other day what I would do if I suddenly got a million dollars, and I said to myself that the first thing would be Nx Stage, but then the thought of self-cannulation and my graft was a deterrent.

Good thing they got it to you fast Epoman!
Self-cannulation I think is scarey but Epoman has inspired me ;) :2thumbsup;

I havnt had trouble with my machine until the last week or so. Last week I had error 89! Means sensors are bad, had to get a new nxstage machine.. Luckiyly i got mine the next day.
Then the following week I had a flood in my pure flow machine! The pur PAK fooded. I replaced it and the bag and the next one flooded also! really a bummer with 2 1/2 hour priming and 6 1/2 hours of filling the dialysaid bag. On the third try I got it. Took me a total of 20+ hours to fix the problem.. Other than that, no problems.. heh

It'll be 2 years in a week or so since I started nxstage, and I've had to have the machine replaced 2 times. I had the same thing happen Epoman, with the 51 alarm as well. It took it happening 3 times though for them to replace the machine.. :banghead; Otherwise, nothing but excellent things to say about the nxstage folk. They've always been great in any questions I've had... well, there was this one time.. But I'll save that story. >:D
