I'm working with my PD nurse to bring my Kt/V up. At last check it was somewhere around 1.65, I think, and we want to bring it up to 2.0. So I'm adding a manual exchange with a 4-hour dwell in the evening. I've been looking at the options on my new Liberty cycler, and I'm thinking it might be better and easier to use the PD+ mode with a pause, rather than a manual fill and CCPD overnight. However, my cycler manual is missing most of the pages in the treatment section, so I don't really know how the pauses work in the process of the cycles.
Does anyone use pauses on a Liberty cycler? How does it work?
Also, I found the "secret" area of the cycler... :secret; if you hold down the two arrow buttons, it'll ask for a password. I assume these are tech options or something. Anyone know anything about this? ??? ;D

lol yea, it's something the techs use for diagnostics. Password is "FMS". ;)
I have not quite figured out the pauses thing yet... seems not too different than dwells to me - I will ask my nurse about it or read my manual and try to get back to you.

I tried it out, and you're right, it's not much different than dwells. The differences are that it gives you the onscreen directions for disconnecting and reconnecting, and there's no set time - the timer will count up until you decide to reconnect.
I'll check out that diagnostics section if my password is the same. Don't know what I hope to accomplish, but maybe I'll find something interesting. ;)
