I received a surprise in the mail today. Ohhhhhh, I love surprises! Marvin comes back from the mail box and says, "Who do you know in Texas?"
Ummm...George W. Bush? Ummm ... no, he wouldn't send me anything. Wait a minute, Marvin; I'm thinking...
So, I finally give up and open the card. Inside is a beautiful bookmark with a baby Pug on it. It looks like my Hop-Sing when we was a tiny pupster. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love Twirl.
Thank you, Twirlie Girl...you made my day.
-
I recieved one too. Thanks Twirl :-*
-
I recieved a card to on Monday. I thought it was from a friend from school who got married. Then on the card she put from twirl , if that didn't hapen, I would still be guessing who it was from :rofl; :rofl;
-
I received something very fishy indeed! A fish puzzle. Anatomically correct ;D
Thank you Twirl girl. You're the best.
XO :cuddle; :-*
-
Our twirl has been a busy girl this week. I also received a package and Len said, who do you know in Conroe Tx and I said immediately, twirl, he said twirl who........ I told him twirl/Cheryl from IHD. I got a beautiful Yorkie calendar that I swear a couple of the pictures are our Willie and Winnie. Thank you so much twirl, you are one special lady. Kathy

Christmas in July?
-
Twirl, please make some room in your inbox so that I can send you a message.
-
I did and I want my message from you
are you reading about Bubba
and how are you
and can you do the fish puzzle ?????????? ( joking)
-
I got in the mail today "on my birthday" a neat cute puppy book from Twirl.
How sweet. Now when I need to smile I can look at that book!!
:cuddle;
Thank You! Oh, yes it was her BONE BUCKS from dialysis prize! Love it!
-
Twirl you're the best! Lee came in today asking (like Marvin did) "So who do you know in Texas"? Right away I knew it was from Twirl and of course it was.
A big package of wildflower seeds...I just have to find a good spot. Thanks twirl....you're very special and very sweet.
-
i recieved a parcel yesterday morning from our friend twirl :yahoo;.
i must tell IHD what a friend our twirl is,
there was a greeting card in the parcel that reads as follows
"your such a good friend that if i ever 50 million in the lottery
i'd let you help me hold up that gigantic cardboard check
when they show me on tv.
whats that saying who needs enemies when you've got friends like this. :sarcasm;
-
Ang --- you are the best! check holder expert !
plus if I won I would be on the first bus to Australia
problem is, I never buy a ticket
-
I never buy a ticket either. How will I ever win?
-
kitkatz -- I will share with you and we will both go see Ang and go swimming with the sharks-
new diet
place Twirl and Kitkatz in a tank with a shark and watch them swim like hell and burn many calories
-
Well now, I don't know about a shark tank diet and exercise program!
-
LOL U 2
As for lottery tickets be very careful.
Karen had me pick up a pick 6. Now if i could do life over i would have had the computer pick random numbers.
As it is we sat down and picked 6 numbers out of 50. This was a few years ago. I am now afraid not to play these numbers every month. For im sure the week i dont buy them they will be picked. It is an evil thing we did..
-
???
-
When I came back home from my parent's house yesterday I had a big envelope waiting for me from our IHD Santa (aka Twirl.) I got the cutest Yorkie calendar.
Thanks Twirl. I love it.
-
My turn MY TURN !!!! :guitar:
My American Sant :guitar: sent me some grits and Rotel... now I haven't cooked the grits yet... I am thinking that they look alot like creamed wheat that you eat in the mornings??
Twirl I was laying in dialysis today and low and behold next week is SHARK WEEK I burst out laughing.... FWIRL you are the funniest!!!
-
Fhark week is next weekkkkkk?????? I have not heard a word here ---
I watched part of Jaws 2 today and what a crock of crap -- nothing real about it ---
eat the rotel with chips
grits are good with cheese and butter and pepper - I never use salt --
some people use grits with shrimp --? I don't get that>>>>>>
or better yet, melt velvetta cheese and add the rotel for a chili conqueso dip---
you will be saying "Ya'll and Howdy" in no time
-
YEAH! Only 5 days until Shark Week begins! http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/sharkweek/sharkweek.html
-
Grits? Palenta? Pretty much the same.
Rotel... don't waste it.
Brown pork chops in a little olive oil with tad of flour.
Cover with gobs ot sliced onions and top with rotel.
Cook a long time and eat with fried beans and white tortillas.
if you have any left over for tomorrow add some crawdad or armadillo meat.
-
OK, what is rotel? My first thought was a roach motel, but that is wrong
Haven't seen anything advertised yet on TV about Shark Week and they usually do it big.
I also have no clue what to send Twirl.
-
rotel is a can of tomato and peppers with spices... (mexican type spice) comes in mild, regular and hot.
most often put in melted velveta cheese and served with tortilla chips... (easy chili con queso)
-
Grits should be eaten with sugar and butter.
-
Grits should be eaten with butter and pepper as a side dish to fried eggs, bacon, biscuits and cream gravy. Grow up and eat a real breakfas!!! Then go hoe the cotten.
-
I like cheddar cheese in my grits.
Then you must hoe to the end of the row!
:waving;
-
oops,,,
Sorry Fwirl:
I seemed to have forgotten to mention one more thing that was in my Christmas from Texas package....
One silver peni necklace... its a beauty and I ware it all the time ;)
-
NEVER EAT SUGAR ON GRITS --- don't listen to Kitkatz -- she is not a Texan :waving;
Crawford - that chop recipe sounds good and I will try it ;D
I have not seen Shark week advertised --- what if they don't honor shark week in Conroe >:(
Chris - rotel - roach motel --- :urcrazy; :urcrazy; :urcrazy;
acutally, some of my students told me to place jalpeno jucie in bowls and it will kill roaches
never tried it - didn't want to waste the juice
Kimmie - do I need to send you some velvetta?
you got the mild rotel -- the hot would burn your tongue off -
let me know when you are ready for the real hot rotel
and be ready to burn
-
Grits - buttah and sugar folks! Them Texans got it all wrong!
-
No sugar on grits! Cheese, butter -- no sugar! And rotel is a yummy ingrediant to spice up any meat dish. And with velveeta---bring on the chips! :2thumbsup;

AMEN
-
sometimes I cook a little white rice, add a can of pinto beans and a can of hot rotel.... not bad and only have to clean up one pan... Rotel is a miracle food.
-
Whatever grits is, and whatever you put on it - it's sounds hideous!

:rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
Oh, Hanify, you must come to the South to get your grits. I will eat anything on grits, including maple syrup. My favorite, though is garlic cheese grits.
FYI, grits are made from dried hominy corn that is ground up. You cook them up in water to make a white mush. Then add whatever ingredients to make your yummies.
:clap; :clap;

double yummy
and hanify ---"Kiss My Grits" I don't mean that in a mean way -- it is a southern saying
-
"You cook them up in water to make a white mush"
Oh, now you've got me! So it's a bit like couscous? Mashed potato?
-
more lik couscous
-
"You cook them up in water to make a white mush"
Oh, now you've got me! So it's a bit like couscous? Mashed potato?
it is not mush -- hence, the name grits - it is gritty goodness -
-
Hanify. try it, you'll like it. don't be scared.
-
Nooooo, it's just gritty like sand with mud and water! That's why I only had it once.
-
Twirl, we'll never convince these Chicago Yankees and other foreigners what's good. No problems. More for us.
-
My husband Paul reckons it's a bit like porridge.
-
you got it right before Hanify. It is like couscous...
-
The favorite in our area is shrimp and grits. My daughter will eat them any time of day or night.
-
I've never had that... I think Bobby Flay or somebody made it once. Love to try it.
-
And yet I notice how much other stuff you are putting in grits to cover up it's flavor as much as possible, no plain grits? :urcrazy; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
-
wouldn't you enjoy a piece of freshly baked bread and wouldn't some better make it taste better????
-
Chris, we yankees put cheese on the grits.
I just put butter...
-
I'll take Cream of Wheat, flavored Oatmeal, or CoCo Wheats any day over grits. Apple Cinamon Cream of Wheat is the best :2thumbsup;
If I ever go to Texas to go get Blue Bell Ice Cream, I'll have to stop over to try some homemade grits. Forgot what else I wanted to eat from Texas.
Was it the eggs over wasy cookies? Hmmm I'll have to look what I posted some time ago.
-
Never heard of eggs on cookies.
Never had homemade grits either. I get instant.
-
Twirl makes these cookies that look like bacon and sunnyside eggs
-
Oh, then I'd question them. Twirl also make fried bull testicles.
-
She posted about them around Christmas time when someone asked about what Christmas cookies to make.
-
chris I will send you some bacon and eggs cookies when it is not so hot
- I don't want your eggs fried when they get to you
---- we are still having hot weather -- with a little side of rain :waving;
-
now I didn't know it got very hot in Texas?? ;)
-
Beter order an extra side of rain Twirl :2thumbsup; :rofl;
LOL Fried eggs, picturing a yellow M&M character melted.
Thanks Twirl, but you don't have to do that, but much appreciated for the thought.
-
remember when you could not see that good and you asked me to wait until you could see better so you could see the bacon and eggs cookies ?
how soon they forget
-
Just saw a Cash Cab segment where all the questions were about sharks...
-
It's a given though that I would forget, it's the meds! The meds I say!
