I seem to be getting more cycler (baxter) alarms when I use the patient line extensions. I use them so that I can reach the bathroom if necessary. Does the extension line make a difference in how well the cycler works? Im just noticing this over the past couple of weeks.
-
I also use a patient extension and have not had any problems. What kinds of alarms are you getting?
-
I have noticed that my dwell times are shorter with the extensions. Sometimes I get alarms if they are kinked. I usually leave the tape on them until I need to go farther than it allows to prevent the kinks.
-
I use an extension every night with my Baxter. Some nights I have NO alarms and other nights it seems like the machine has it "IN" for me...and alarms unmercifully! Usually I've done something stupid...like put pressure on the line. I think it's just Murphy's law...when you really just want to sleep...it's going to alarm!
-
The alarms are usually low drain alarms or check patient line. Since though I get alarms with or without extensions. Oh well...
-
I wonder if Baxter ever realized that some of us are light sleepers and don't need an alarm with the
decibel volume of Big Ben. You can't turn down the volume on the alarm.
-
You can on mine. Also, my husband made a big soundproof box that the machine sits in (you can still hear the alarms). Often wondered whether we should patent it. Anyone else heard of one? I should take a photo...

You may want to look into the patent before posting pics. lol I know I would buy one.
