Post by: monsterman on June 09, 2009, 11:39:40 PM
Just curious if we have any Airplane, Boat or Car rc'ers on the boards? I have been doing rc now for almost 20 years its my Out!

I have had almost every single rc known to the RC Industry only a few have not yet been in my hands. I fly airplanes, helicopters, run cars, trucks, buggies and boats too.. Right now I have been hit with the RC Rock Crawler Bug, Motorcycle Bug and Gas Scene Bug.. I have 2 Hpi Baja's one is called the Hpi Baja 5B and the other is the Hpi Baja 5T.. One is a buggy version "B" and the other is a Truck Version "T"

Both Baja's are around 3 feet long, both have 26cc gasoline powered engines in them "Yes just like your weed whacker or chain saw" run times are around 40 minutes per tank of gas..

Here's a few pictures of the toys..

Monsterman, I'm going with the Zenoah G 26, magneto. I would have liked to had it sent in for the electronic ignition conversion, but that would have meant another battery. I am already going to run a dual 6 volt 2150 mah battery system with a regulator, I didn't want to add to much more weight.

I use to be into R/C cars and had one glider. With vison problems I could no longer build them. I have a 1/2 finished HPI RS4. I kept a couple of my toys though, a Kyosho Corvette ZR-1 .12 gas, Kyosho Chevy S-10 (based on Ultima Chassis), and a Tamiya Bigfoot (first generation) Had a First Generation Associated RC10, MRP Pro 110 *crp),  a Kyosho Double Dare Monster Truck, Tamiya Frog ully hopped up, Grasshopper, Hornet, and Midnight Pumpkin Stoped Racing due to cost and had more fun just playing around in the dirt. When the Losi's came out, competion was fierce and cost definitelly rose to try to keep up with sponsored drivers.
