To talk about something that looms in everyons life, getting a new Kidney.
We are at the mercy of the major hospital politics when it comes to getting to the top of the list for this Little piece of life.
It is my belief that the hospitals Chase the insurance train shaking it to get every last dollar it will provide until the train is empty.
Take charge of your destiny you are going to die someday anyway, I mean things are going to happen to you wheather you like IT or not.
ASK questions be assertive when talking to the hospitals , you are the patient, not the doctors, be weary of useless test, lets just see if this works, yell right been there and done that. Don't allow yourself to be a victim to hospital bureaucracy such "as oh well it will be about two weeks". This is a phrase that tells me that no one knows what the hell is going on at all. Believe me when you are snake bit you don't have but so long to receive treatment. The same is true with your KIDNEYS.
make your visit to the hospital about you, not I'm sorry but we have so many people here. This is crap you are or should be the most important person to the doctor who sees you.
I just fired a major hospital who told be such crap, then shopped around until I found a hospital who deemed me important. It took 8 months for to learn the system and render an opinion about the care that I was receiving and decided to take my own action, what do you have to loose at this point.
Doctors need to see a human on the bed not just a body or someone who likes to be talked soft to and told them they will be fine, this is crap in the words of an old actor "JUST THE FACTS MAM". nothing but the truth and the whole truth.
If we don't hold out doctors accountable to us than we become the cattle of the field. I'm sorry I run a little long , bit as long as I have the ability to fight I will not die because I was be patient while a movie star get a KIDNEY because she is more popular than me or her father was an important person in the world community. Stand up dammit be counted The flags waves for you as well as those poor people who found themselves lost on our side of the property line.
