Future Swedish prince has kidney transplant

STOCKHOLM – The Swedish Royal Court says crown princess Victoria's fiance Daniel Westling is recovering in hospital after a successful kidney transplant.
The palace says Westling received a kidney from his father Wednesday in a planned surgery. Both Westling and his father Olle are doing well.
The palace says the gym owner and soon-to-be prince had a congenital disease causing impaired renal function but says it isn't hereditary.
Westling announced his engagement to Sweden's future queen in February and the couple are planning to tie the knot in June 2010.
Victoria couldn't be by her fiance's side. She is currently on a climate change expedition in Greenland with the heirs to the thrones of Norway and Denmark.
