So i finally gathered the energy to open the pool. Took cover off hooked up the tubes and the motor.
I started to fill the pool and as usual the water hit the return hole and started to fill the filter and pump.
Once the filter got full water started to pour out of the backwash section of the filter. No matter what position i had the filter on.
Last summer i changed the spiderweb gasket in the filter.
Any suggestions ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Biomass clogging the filter. When was the last time you replaced the sand?
-
Last summer but the tube could be clogged. Ill check that could be an easy fix thx.

we keep our pool crystal clean all year -
sometimes we swim in December -
we cover it during cool weather -
we find snakes in the gasket
or that basket thing you clean out -
at lease we have had no alligators yet
Yogi lives in the pool - so he is our decoy dog
when my husband gets back from Saturday school I will ask him
paul.karen -- it is nice to get in the pool after dialysis

If the sand is new, the only thing I can think of is debris in the filter. Good luck.

It was the spider gasket inside the handle part of the filter.
Easy enough to fix, just six bolts and a new gasket.
I was told to only turn the handle in one direction to keep wear down..
Twirl you have a busy pool :2thumbsup;
Cant keep them open year round here. Unless you wana play hockey on it in the winter :bandance;

Paul: I read in another topic you are probably going for PD. Do you realize that once you get your
PD catheter in no more pools or bathtugs, only showers?
-
Hey BigSteve.
THis is of great debate among many PD people. To me it is a 50/50 split on who you ask.
I was told by many that you can use your own private pool and as well swim in the ocean.
But to avoid lakes and especial public pools.
I have lived by the ocean for years and have always heard salt water is good for wounds and healing purposes?????
And the use of private pools from what i understand is that you know you are using and keeping the water balanced where as a public pool could have children peeing and getting sick in it ect ect.
It is an ongoing debate???
I am also thinking of getting my PD access in my chest so i can use Jacuzzis and take baths if i want to?? Still up in th4e air on that.
