Title: Do you still wear a watch??

I know you are not supposed to wear a watch if you have a fistula in your arm.  But, now I have a fistula in both arms and have not been wearing a watch and I miss it.  I never know what day it is or what time it is.

My fistulas are in my upper arms.  What would be the problem with wearing a watch (loosely) on my wrist?

How about a watch necklace- my sister used to have a green beetle, and when you opened the wings it was a watch- and it was nice jewelry too

I don't wear a watch but I can't see a problem with a loose one on your wrist. They make all kinds that look like a bangle bracelet.

I still wear a watch. It's loose fitting. I'd be lost without it.

I agree with MandaMe.  I broke my left wrist back in '98 and haven't worn a watch since.  I just click on the cell phone when I need the time.

I stopped wearing a regular watch when my wrist got nerve damaged - I couldn't even stand having my sleeve rubbing against it.  I've got a couple of ring watches that I wear now when I want one.

I don't wear a watch anymore - the battery died, and I just never replaced it.  It seems there are always clocks around, and when there's not - I do like the others and check the cell phone.  Hubby doesn't wear a watch anymore either.

I guess I just generally don't care what time it is.  Uh oh...are we supposed to know what day it is too?   :rofl;

I've always enjoyed large bracelets and I wear a large faced watch on my right wrist.

I think that's part of that series of questions they ask you in the ER:
-Do you know what year it is?
-Do you know where you are?
-Do you know who the president is?
-Do you know what day it is?

Rerun, I can't stand the feeling of jewelry anywhere therefore I am with the cellphone brigade for time. It seems that we think a loose fitting watch would be okay, but ask the guy who did the work. If he says no, then don't. If he says yes, still consider an alternative approach. In the absence of a cell phone, I have removed the band from a watch and carried it in my pocket.

I used to wear my watch on my left wrist but my fistula went in there in 2004 and I trained myself to put it on my right.. now it's second nature but it did take a bit of getting used to at first but I don't think I ever accidently put it on my left without realising.... now I can't imagine it anywhere else but on my right! LOL

I stopped wearing a watch some 30 years ago; I can't remember why. Before then I felt there was something missing if I didn't wear it.

Rerun, if you stop you'll find you won't miss it after a while. Giving up smoking is far worse!
