Title: It's 6:00PM

The transplant coordinator said she would call at 5:00 with an update, either head in for the transplant,or go eat dinner.  I am hungry, anxious and irritated.

This is the fourth donor to get this far in the process.  They give me a phone number to call that ends up in voice mail.


I fracken hate this crap.

I am sorry, it's just not right to have you wait without giving you a number where you can reach her. I don't blame you for being upset. And hungry too! I hope you hear something soon.

Pancreas was significantly undersized.  I mass 128 kilos, so they gave it to a small person in Colorado.

Blech.  This roller coaster is old.

I suppose though, you have a reason that makes some sort of reasonable sense.

You MUSt be so bloody close given all the calls you have had lately!!

I am one of those people who hate when people say "It could be worse" but I do want mention that there are so many people who will never get a call - for years - if ever. So I am going to keep positive throughts that your opportunity is very close and all of this is a practice of patience.
I would still ask for a number where you can check in with the transplant coordinator.
It's cruel to give you a time deadline and then not follow up with you.

Keep your chin up Bud.  The odds have GOT to be in your favor with all these calls, but the tension is well.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR blankety blank bleep bleep!  Censored myself, I might mature yet.....but it's doubtful!
