Title: Life after transplant - 8 months later.
Post by: ndl0520 on May 25, 2009, 10:47:34 AM
Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted on here and thought I give a little update since my transplant.  It's been a satisfying 8 months full of ups and downs; but mostly full of positives.  I've done some travelling visiting family member throughout the U.S. only.  I've attended college during the spring semester w/o any problems.  Now, as each day passes by, my health is getting better and better each time.  I've been cleared by my doctors to start working again.   :2thumbsup;  I have been exercising regularly to get my strength and stamina back up.  In fact, I am going back to my old career as a police officer and actually started my training for it 3 weeks ago and actually have passed my requalification course to be recertified as a police officer here in the state of California.  It's been a great 8 months so far, but not taking anything for granted.

Congratulations on all these positives. It's always good to see someone doing well post transplant and able to get back to living their life.

 :beer1;
Here's hoping the successes keep coming.

What a great post!  It really reminds us that a transplant is worth going for.  You must be so thrilled to get back to police work again.  From one who questions from time to time if the process is worth it, thank you for making me see how good it can be.  I needed to read your words right now   :2thumbsup;
