Inventory management of my PD supplies was a hassle for me as I was always trying to guess-timate what supplies and dialysate I would need for the next month.  When I started back on PD this time I decided to keep better records on exactly how much of each % dialysate I used on a daily/weekly basis as well as the tubing, bandages, masks and other assorted supplies I used so frequently.  For several months I kept track of what I used and then taking that information I created some excel spreadsheets that I now use to calculate what I'll be needing for my next delivery.  It's worked out really well for me and also helps to keep my inventory at it's lowest level.  I also find that I'm not having to dispose of any expired dialysate or tubing either.  It might sound a little complicated but once I knew what I had been using in the past, it was much easier to predict what I'd be needing in the future.  My husband also likes that I don't have as much excess boxes sitting around as we did at first.
