Hello everyone!! My name is Kim Jones and I am 42 1/2 years old. I am a Southern California native. I have been doing dialysis for 9 years come October 28th. Unfornately, I got lost in the Kaiser system and ended up on dialysis. I have been through every emotion on dialysis. For about 5 years now, I decided to be the Captain of my ship. I took all unnecessary hands out of my pot, keeping all those who really wanted to be part of my team and decided if I was going to have crappy health, I would have the best crappy health in California. :) :) I am getting back to pilates and treadmill routine because exercise is the best thing for a dialysis patient. I am a single parent. My daughter is 21 and off to the University in Feb. I have also returned back to college to try to get my B.A. degree. I am so glad this site was passed along to me. No one can understand better than a fellow Dialysis patient!!! So with that said.......... Good Health to you all....Stay positive......and remeber........DIALYSIS IS WHAT YOU DO!!! IT IS NOT WHO YOU ARE!!!! Stay Gourgous!!!!!

Hi Kim and welcome to our site. :welcomesign;
This is the place I come to connect with people who understand dialysis and what comes along with it. I too have experienced all the emotions of dialysis (almost daily). It is great that you are doing the best you can and staying on the healthy side of dialysis. Please take time to read the site rules and regulations and enjoy this site. We are here for you.

Just adding my welcome to the others. We are so glad to have you with us. Looking forward to hearing more from you, with your years of dialysis experience. You are a real encouragement to me, since my doctor has been muttering these words about exercise. Welcome to our community! :grouphug;
