Hello, I'm new here. My name is Dyanna and I have chronic kidney failure. I saw my doc yesterday and he says my kidneys are running at 18% so we are going to start all the testing needed to be added to the transplant list. My brother has offered me one of his so maybe that will work out.
We found out that I had kidney failure about 4 or 5 years ago when I went to the hospital with swelling in my legs and ankles. They ran some tests and then admitted me with kidney failure. I then last year found out that I had type 2 diabetes and was put on insulin. We think my kidney failure was caused by an over dose I took back in my twenties.
I have been reading a lot on here as a guest and it has been very helpful. I was really afraid of what was to come before reading your experiences. I'm still scared but not as much.
Thanks for being here.
