Title: Quick temporary fix .. stomach ulcer

Anyone got any quick fixes using stuff i might have in at home to settle a stomach ulcer ? I have been taking Lanzaprasole for it but they havent been brill , so i have changed to another tablet , only trouble is i cant get it till after the weekend and my stomach is driving me crazy ( even drinking tea/water) I have Gaviscon in but its not helping, any suggestions ? just to use for a couple of days .. ps even eating is painfull (then most of the time i cant keep it down!)

Pepcid AC extra strength works well for me.

Mine has been creating havok for about a week now and I just toss it a tum every once in while..guess I should ask the Dr.

Are you sure it's a stomach ulcer?  Was it officially diagnosed as an ulcer?

If you haven't had an upper GI endoscopy yet, you need to. 

Ulcers can bleed--sometimes badly.  And there's always a small chance that it could be Barrett's esophagus or cancer of the upper GI tract.  Both are far more serious conditions than a simple ulcer.  The endoscopy will show just what's going on in there.

In the meantime, I've had decent results with prescription Nexium.  Ask your doctor for a scrip of that.

I just have GERD- but I use Pepcid AC myself- and its almost darn magical.

I have tablets that work just great , like i said in my post (its my fault) but i have run out over the weekend and was just seeing if there was anything i might have in ..like milk or something that might soothe it !

mine definately ulcer....I had 8 bleeding ones taken out, actually reason they had to redo the gastric bypass and I'm working on another ulcer now...........grrrr

You could try to mix some baking powder (in the yellow box) a couple teaspoons in some water.
Or maybe some epsom salts mixed with some water niether taste well but could give you some relief.

ginger is good - try some ginger ale, if you can find some made with real ginger.
