George Strait
Garth Brooks
Reba McEntire
The oldies, but goodies now.

Alan Jackson, George Strait, Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash. Trace Adkins, Toby Keith. And, I'll admit it, I like Dolly Parton and Tanya Tucker.
I know, I'm old and I have weird taste in music. I said in another thread that I like Dave Navarro. Dave Navarro and Merle Haggard? Perhaps I have no taste in music!
-
The only thing i like about country music is it reminds me of my Gramma, she loved her some Grand 'Ol Opry. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, all those oldies remind me of my Gramma :'( missin ya Gammy

No weirder than me. I like Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, and Cher along with country music.

Anybody have satellite Radio? I have XM-Radio. I pay $13 a month for it. I use to really like it because it was commercial free. Now they have commercials. I'm going to discontinue it. It is no different than any other radio station now.
Anyway, I liked the two or three country stations. XM-11 and Hwy 16.
-
Some of my newest favorite country singers are Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, Josh Gracin. Love them! I saw Montgomery Gentry and Van Zant in concert and they are good too.
-
I like Josh Turner also.
-
Josh Turner's voice is amazing.

Beautiful eyes and smile, he has.
-
The first time I heard "Long Black Train" I knew he would make it big in Country Music.

Blue Rodeo is an awesome band :2thumbsup;

My first date with my husband was a concert of George Jones
and Tammy Wynette. It was good. So you imagine how long
ago that was. I think that song of Brad Paisley "I'm sure
Gonna Miss Her" is rather funny. My sister saw him sing that at
the G O Opry.

Many years ago I was a country DJ on an FM station back in New York. That was 1976/1977 to be exact. I didn't really like it back then and was playing the stuff from a list someone else came up with. Of course depending on the station I was on and that was about 4 a week back then I was an easy listening, beautiful music, top 40, and finally country DJ all at the same time and with a different name for each station. Television made life much simpler and I only have one name now. Anyway I sorta like it now and listen to it on XM in the car along with 40's, 50's, 60's, classical, bluegrass, and a few other types.

Was it Toby Keith that did "There was a time...back in my prime"? Not sure if that is the title but it sure is one funny song.
