Before hemo dialysis one week ago I was on three or four separate blood pressure meds and barely could control my blood pressure (even without salt in diet). After one week of the Dreaded D, I'm off all bp meds and still can get pressure steady (always low but not always dangerously low)... 100/60 maybe and sometime 60 /31.
I know about Chicken Stock and I know my fluids are probably too low. I wish you guys with additional insight would comment.
thanks, Dan

Pre-dialysis you were probably retaining fluids which would have pushed up your BP. Now with dialysis you're probably pulling off fluids and excess salt each time you dialyze so by watching your fluids and salt in between treatments you stand a much better chance of regulating the BP. Great to be off those meds. You will have to watch, however, that your BP doesn't go too low at the end of a dialysis session which often happens if they pull TOO much fluid during a session.

dwcrawford, have them check your blood pressure every 15 minutes the last hour of you treatment. When you seen that dip, ask them to turn down the pump speed and see if that helps. Let us know howe it goes. :cuddle;

they put the cuff on when I get there and the machine checks it every 10 minutes. The tech tells me what's going on. I doesn't usually get too low untill the following day. Last Friday (fine at center) Sat (awful at home) Sunday better at home.
It is never 120/80 . higher before, lower after. Uh oh, Its BD and AD as time counters for me. Thanks Williw.
