Hi everyone. I am 45 and female. Married with one daughter who is 12. I was diagnosed late 2007 with multiple myeloma, and for some reason my kidneys were attacked. By Jan 2008 I was on haemodialysis. It was really sudden, so I have spent the last year and a half catching up with all the stuff most people learn before they start dialysis at all. I did haemo for 3 months, then transferred to peritoneal (thank God). Having done both I am definitely a fan of peritoneal! I am now doing CAPD, which is even better as it frees up my day. Really enjoying reading all the posts! Great title by the way - I'm sure we all feel the same about the daily grind of dialysis!!
