Hi all, sorry I've not posted for a while, I've been trying to forget about kidneys, dialysis, exit sites, etc, etc, etc! No such luck. >:(
It's all been a bit much as we have been at the hospital everyday for a month trying to get Heph's line sorted out. No luck, he is in hospital now, being prepped for surgery tomorrow morning to remove the PD cath. He will be line free for the weekend and on Monday he will have a perm cath put in and back on screamo, I mean hemo, until they can sort him out and get a new PD cath in. :banghead;
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate it. I love Heph, I hate esrf, dialysis, hospitals, doctors, nurses, empty cold bed all to myself! :'(
OK, maybe it's not all that bad, but I just want to kick and scream and shout and make it all go away!!!!!!

:cuddle; I'm sorry for both you and Heph for having to go through this. Just hold onto knowing that this too shall pass, and soon he'll be back on PD.

Yeah, I hear you, but I had to smile at your "fit". Welcome to my world.... :welcomesign;

I've been wondering this also. Rerun, do you have their emergency contact #?

Hi guys, I'm sorry we haven't been in touch, life changes to fast for and it takes a while for us to find out where we are .
Ive been on Hemo now for just over for months, me and my lady had a great christmas break, and managed to get me holiday dialysis in a private unit near my wifes parents house so we spent christmas with them feasting and being spoilt rotten.
the unit I was at came round with sandwiches and apple pie which was great, and there were two tea rounds and we all had our own tv's so even dialysis was good there. i felt realy chilled out.
I've just written another post but ill repeat myself here. I have been told I cant have fistula's in my arms as they have damaged the veins with all the permcaths I have had in, so I am due to have a tenckoff inserted in the next couple of weeks and will be back on pd, not looking forward to all the boxes and supplies. Ive enjoyed it being separate from homelife.
I'm on the transplant list, 0 antibodies and a good blood type so waiting for that call.
if pd ever fails before I get a transplant, I have been told I will have to have a leg fistula. which I know very little about.
anyway thankyou all for your concern.
Blessings and have a great new year.
Heph and Mrs Heph :clap; :wine;

It's so good to hear from you. We were really wondering what had become of you. Please don't leave us out when you are going through stuff. Just a little line will do.

WOW, what is the name of that clinic, they sound like they really care about their patients... I am glad you at least had that good experience while having to do with Hemo. :2thumbsup;

Good to hear from you again. I was wondering where you had been off to.
