I have the same question...that being, can you safely check the cycler ?  I have a large piece of luggage that the cycelr would fit in and thinking of getting some eggshell foam and wrapping the cycler with it.  I would have a difficult time lifting it into the overhead bin, so that is why it would be easiest for me to check it.  I know I seen someone talking about it fitting in the overhead bin without a problem.

Clinic nurse said she would give us a letter to assure that it is medical equipment and the airlines should treat it with care.

Anyone have an answer?

Im not 100% but i think the supplier will loan you a case for travel.
And if to heavy for you to lift have an attendant lift it..

I don't know about a hard case for the homechoice pro. However, in planning our trip to Ashland, Or.,
this summer I spoke to a customer rep from Alaska/Horizon airlines about the machine. She said it
would be carried up the stairs by crew. This is a Bombalier 400 and there are stairs. She also found out
the measurements of under the seat and said it would fit. I have a luggage carrier so I can get it to
the plane. So it looks like it will work. This is a small plane and the overheads are miniscule.

Steve, please let us know how that works for you.  We have not traveled with the cycler, especially interested in plane travel.  Your experience with a small plane will be very interesting.  If it works on a small plane should work for us on a larger commericial flight.

Paul.Karen, Is that Chichen Itza in your picture?  We are trying to get to Cancun, Mexico with our cycler.  We have always wintered in Cancun.  This is the first year we have not and so happens to be the WORST winter season Chgo has had for 17 years!!  We want to continue our winter in Cancun !!!But, do not know if it will be possible.  Will be talking with Fressius Travel to see what will be possible.  We are greedy and want a lot more than just a teaser month.

I have travelled several times with the home choice pro.  Baxters supplied me with a special airplane case for it, but the airline wouldn't let it be carry on luggage.  It had to go in the hold of the plane, and was marked as special luggage.  I watched it get chucked around and they were really rough, but there was never a problem with it.  I travelled to LA and LV last year, and have been to Australia this year no problems.  Ask your supplier for the special box - you shouldn't have to try to make it.

I purchased a "Pelican Hard Case"...the "Pelican 1610 Watertight Hard Case"....the Baxter Homechoice machine fits in it perfectly...and I was able to bring it on the plane as a "Carry On", and it fit perfectly in the overhead bin.  The Case has wheels, so its easy to wheel around, but to lift it up into the overhead bin does take some effort.

Here is a link to where I purchased it online...and if you purchase it...make sure you get it with the Foam...and then you pull out pieces of the foam to customize the inside to fit the machine.
