Title: LISW introduction
Post by: Toni on September 11, 2006, 07:22:08 AM
Hi,

I'm Toni, and work as a Renal Social Worker at a hospital.  Most of my time is spent with dialysis patients and a few hours a week I am involved in donor evaluations.  I am impressed with the site and hope to learn more about dialysis patients.

 :welcomesign; to our very comprehensive community (renally speaking, of course)  We are always pleased when people who actually work in dialysis, etc., take the time out to join us and to add their own particular perspective.  We look forward to hearing from you.  It would be great if you could add a bit to the Tranplant Stories section.
Welcome again.  Here is a special hug for you from us -  :grouphug;

Welcome, it is nice to see a Social Working willing to give us a chance.  Most think by the name we are Negative and that leads to depression and that leads to medication which leads to addiction which leads to killing someone or something!  Hope you can clear our name.   :thx;

Hi Toni! Glad you are here :) I wanted to advertise certain sites in my dialysis unit but my social worker refused to put the posters up for patient sites. I couldn't understand why. Now that you are here maybe you can shed some light on things like this ;)  :thumbup; :2thumbsup;

Welcome, Toni, glad to have you here.  I'm very impressed by the marvelous people who are caretakers and supporters of renal patients who have taken the time to join this site.  I think it shows that they are really trying to understand what we're going through and I appreciate the support.  Again, welcome!
