I'm looking forward to 4/6/09 for my 1yr check-up!! Kinda hard to believe that it has been a year already..Hope to have many years to come with great success like my first. No more dialysis!!! :bandance;...btw @my last visit the Dr told me that the 1yr check-up will consist of EKG, chest x-ray, MRI, and lot of xtra blood work so it won't be bad...God Bless!! Chris

:2thumbsup; Hope all goes well!
How often are you getting labs? Jenna is still once a month. We do it locally and they send the results to the transplant center and to her nephrologist.

:clap; Wishing you many many healthy years ahead.

I just got back home from my 1yr check-up, everything checked out ok. I still have the BK virus in my urinary track but not my bloodstream. I asked the Dr about the prednisone protocol after transplant and she said they didnt have good results with" steroid free" transplant ,as they taken patients off of it they had rejection episodes and had to continue with prednisone therefore everyone takes it @ the clinic. Also was told i was a 5/6 match and that didnt have anything to do with i take prednisone or not. thanks everyone for your concern and support!... God Bless !!! Chris

Hubby is approaching his 1 Year anniversary- on the same as "donnia" June 5, 2008. He's doing well, but he does have some stomach inflammation from the meds. Perhaps they will drop a couple of meds after his 1 yr. post tx clinic. Fingers crossed! :cheer:
