Title: Can I be a donor?
Post by: MandaMe1986 on March 26, 2009, 04:43:56 PM
I am not sure if this is the right place for this post. If not I am sorry.  But can I be a donor?  What are the rules are there any?  I mean my my kidneys will be no good, but what about everything else they can take?  Are there things that disqualify you?  I mean I would really like to be a donor and I think every one should. But I don't know if I can be one.  Will like some lab take mine and use it for science?  Cause they can have them all, I don't need them once I am dead.  I was just wondering.

i've wondered the same thing. And think if I cant, then I want to donate my body to science. My cousin who was pre med said that if I did that then I would have no say in where my body goes..... Is that true.

By golly my body is going to do some good for someone!

I want my body to go to a medical school. The doctors in training need to learn, and once I pass I won't need my body anymore. After years of diabetes and kidney disease, I doubt that anything would be usable from me for transplant.
