Post by: kubiik on March 23, 2009, 05:50:38 AM
Hi,

I am from Prague, Czech republic, Europe, more than year on hemodialysis, after 2 unsuccessfull transplants so now not in waiting list, my real name Jiří is Czech variant of the name "George", I am looking for travel info because i like travelling and i am planning to create web page about travelling for czech dialysis patients, however USA are too far are too expensive for me, hope i will find some info in this forum history.

I eventually can help with info about europe dialysis issues, i was on dialysis in Norway, Germany, France and Spain.

:welcomesign;  I'm sorry to hear that both transplants were unsuccessful for you but what a great attitude you have especially about traveling and getting the most out of life even on dialysis.  I have traveled quite a bit myself and really hope to visit Prague someday.  I know that it is a most beautiful city with amazing architecture and history.  I look forward to your posts here.

Hallo, Jiri,
welcome to IHD. You say you have been to Norway, Germany, Spain and France on dialysis. Did you find the health-care in the dialysis-centres of these countries similar or were there differences? If there were differences, which ones did you notice most of all? Were there dialyse-centres where you felt better looked after? If yes, which ones? I find your idea of compiling information on different dialysis-centres in the EU most interesting and I am sure many patients will be inspired by your idea. Good luck and kind regards from Kristina.
