Ok, here's the mouse story:
Back in the old ages when I was a kid, little boys could not take a "DARE". I had an older and bigger sister who not only "Dared" me, but it was a "DOUBLE DOG DARE". I don't expect you young people to know the ramifications of a "DOUBLE DOG DARE" but ask around.
Luckily this is one of those Family Yore memories.
-
I bet the family stories all start with "Remember when you ate a..."
double dog dare
the ultimate of dares... one that you cannot refuse
-
no honest Texan would ever turn down a double dog dare :sir ken;
-
Twirl your right no true Texan would be able to walk the neighborhood if he didn't take a double dog dare
-
unless it is to get a cow pattie without barbque sauce
-
You people have been so nice and so inspirational (for the most part). I spent some time this morning thinking about what a good life I have had. Sometimes the past can be debilitating, but at time like this is can also be comforting. Therefore I’ve decided to list ten things that have made me happy just by living in the city of Houston.
1. Mexican Food
2. Going to the Houston Live Stock and Rodeo Show
3. Being able to drive to Mexico on the weekends
4. World Class Restaurants

8. Bevo – well he’s usually in Austin but so was I (Hook Em Horns)
9. It is most always warm weather (I lived in Wyoming a couple of years)
10. Bubba Burgers (for the uninitiated they are Buffalo Burgers)
If I had 11 the next would be that here, it is OK to be boring…
Watch it! If you mess with me, I’ll come up with more stupid lists!

easy drive to Benno's in Galveston and eating almost on the water
and Rockets
and Cowboys football
and Texan A&M ( have a son on the team )
and Longhorns --- we were before bubba became an Aggie
and not going to the opera but still having a beer joint on every corner --- 105 in Conroe
and Friday night football
and the Astrodome -- then not now
and the Woodlands -- I live in Conroe in River Plantation
and being able to surf on Christmas

I really don't know if there are diffrent kinds of Spam. And yeah I have seen the chicken in the can. You can get just about anything in a can now days. I wish I could teach everyone who uses caned food how to cook, and make them see that friesh (no matter what it is) is so much better!
Not seeing over commercialized movies is a good idea. They usually suck. And why is it you don't feel comfortable driving with someone in my passenger seat? Do you feel comfortable being a passenger?
And Glitter I love your cats names! Shadow Nightcrawler! How fun is that. And Pickles Adams, Momma Cat! That is super fun. And anyone who has cool names like that for their cats is not boring.

At $250+ a ticket, that'll never happen! Can't afford to go on vacation either. Plus, hubby is saving his 3 weeks of vacation time in case I get my transplant. Both of my transplant centers tell me the usual wait time for a kidney and pancreas at their centers is only 6 months.

That's you on the stamp?
-
Yes, that is me and my father. My father was a police officer in the town of Westport, CT. An artist named Ward Brackett was commissioned by the United States Post Office to do a commemorative stamp celebrating policed officers. He knew that in addition to being police officer, my father had done some modeling and had 2 sons. The day that we modeled my older brother was in school. I was only 5 years old and kindergarten was half days so my father brought me. That is my 15 minutes of fame. Stamp collectors from all over the world have mailed sheets/blocks of the stamps to my father. He signs them and mails them to me to sign and mail back.
Ready for the joke now?

I am very similar to that. I just don't want to be working on computers because it can become frustrating because I want my projects perfect. I wanted to join the military when they came to my high school to discuss programs, but was told I can't, very disapointing. Last was jumping out of a plane. It was suppose to be a group from work going so we would have had a discounted deal, but as the date approached more and more people chickened out except for me and the person who set it up. So I never was able to go.
