Title: Food Links

I'm always looking for more great 'kidney friendly' recipes.  www.recipezaar.com lets you filter out ingredients, set sodium levels for a recipe, and more.

If you have any other great recipe sites, let me know!

Here's another good recipe site specifically for people on dialysis, from our friends at DaVita:

And they give the phosphorus values per serving as well as the other nutrients.

I use DietSleuth software on my Mac.  It lets me create a recipe by selecting ingredients and proportions.  I can see how it turns out in terms of nutrient and mineral content.  It's then easy to try substitutions or change proportions until it has the nutritional content, calorie content per serving, etc that I want..  DietSleuth uses the USDA nutrient database.  There are other programs out there - probably more for the PC.
