Title: Photojournaling your transplant
Post by: okarol on February 17, 2009, 01:57:16 PM
When you've got a planned transplant from a living donor it's a good opportunity to take photos to record the event. I get so envious when I see a photo of the actual kidney during the surgery. We forgot the camera so missed that chance to get one! I was very emotional about Jenna and her donor going into and out of surgery that I had a tough time taking as many photos as I could have. I wish I had taken more. My suggestion is to take LOTS! They may not seem important at the time, but you will be happy you've got them later on.
Here are some of the photos from Jenna's experience: http://www.flickr.com/photos/karolfranks/sets/72157607575033588/
