Title: Hands are Tingling, Numb?
Post by: karen547 on February 12, 2009, 12:33:41 PM
My hands have been kind of tingling/falling 'asleep' lately. Do any of you know why this may be??  Thx in advance  8)

Perhaps you need longer dialysis sessions.
Best to see a Neurologist and have a nerve conduction test.

Mine turned out to be carpal tunnel.   Mine also get that way when my sugars are way out there also.

I also have carpal tunnel in both hands.  It was diagnosed with nerve conduction tests and apparently CKD patients are particularly susceptible because protein gets deposited in the carpal tunnels of us, the lucky ones. (sarcasm in use here).
It could also be circulation problems or neuropathy.  Ask your doc Karen.
