Hello. My name is Chris. I am a friend of Cindy. She is here but she asked if I would type this message for her. She asked me to let you know that she is OK and she is sorry she has not been around much the past week. She is totally crippled with gout in every joint in all her fingers and she can't type or do anything much at the moment. I replied to a couple of posts for her but she has had a few messages so she asked me to post that she will be back on deck as soon as the gout eases. I am helping her with her magazine and we have a big presentation to do next week so it is all go on that front. Thank you Linda for getting stuck into her about her diet. She is eating close to nothing and I don't care if she reads this. One of the worst things for gout (I have read up about it) is going, or being on, a strict diet. She is still keeping up to date and reading but after she agonised over typing a response to one of the posts the other day she is now banned from using the keyboard. And from me......I think you are all terrific, brave and amazing people. Thanks for reading. Cheers, Chris.

Hugs Cindy. Gout is so awfully painful, I hope it eases soon. Are they giving you colchichine or a course of prednisone to help? :grouphug; :grouphug;

Thanks Chris. I was wondering where Cindy was at. Gout is totally horrible and I hope they can get it under control for her soon. I can't imagine how agonizing it is for her (I've only had one attack, 8 years ago) but that was enough so my thoughts are with her - and you both for the presentation next week for the magazine.

:grouphug; Aren't freinds the best! Thanks for taking care of her.

Oh, I am sorry the gout got worse. She had told us her fingers were in pain, but I hate that it is so bad. Have the put her on daily medicine for gout? I take Allopurinal daily and then two others during flair ups. It really is crippling pain. Undescripable and one of the worse pains I have ever felt. Take care of our friend :cuddle; Give her our love :grouphug; Good luck on the presentation :2thumbsup;

Lucinda girl, I know EXACTLY what you are going through. I had a gout attack recently in my left hand. Gout is not pretty. It is one of the most excruciating and crippling pains. Thankfully, with medication, it goes away eventually. Indomethacin works very well for me. Then, as Paris says, when you are not having an attack, you should use allopurinol to keep away further attacks. Sending you a hug along with caring thoughts and prayers for your swift relief. :cuddle;
Chris, thanks so much for filling in for Lucinda. She is very precious to us!
