BALTIMORE – Surgeons removed a woman's kidney through her vagina so she could give it to her ailing niece, an unusual operation they hope will encourage others to donate because it reduces pain, scarring and recovery time. Doctors at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine said donor Kimberly Johnson, 48, and her niece, Jennifer Gilbert, 23, were both doing well following operations Thursday.

Everytime I see this in my inbox, I just gotta go eeewwww that's gotta hurt or leave a mark (depending on which movie). That's just ain't right to do it like that. What's next, something for the guys to be pulling something out of their rear? And NO not our heads, they were never there, well most of us anyway! :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
-
Okarol....I considered myself a read a holic for years...anything I put my hands on. Now I just have to take more time since reading is difficult, but I do read everything I find on here. Thank you.

I told my wife about this, she instantly grimmaced, then thought out loud, wait I gave birth to 3 children, a kidney shouldnt be to big a deal...
(shrug)
-
next they'll be pulling kidneys out of your ear :urcrazy;

next they'll be pulling kidneys out of your ear :urcrazy;
In that case they better have tried the rear exit only first then. :rofl; ??? ::)
-
But children had adirect path through the vagina. The kidney is kind of out of reach I would think. OUCH!
-
Plus an incision inside still has to be made to get to the kidney and artery. I can see this for vanity sake, but health risk maybe more, not sure.
-
One headline said "Birth of a Kidney" ::)
-
How funny!!! :rofl;
