Good Neighbors
They believe in angels

Do you believe in Angels? We do.

On Dec. 29, my son, Joe, had completed a treatment of dialysis. We were a little late leaving the hospital and we started for our home in Melrose. Much to our dismay, we encountered a terrible blinding snow storm, plus it was dark. We followed tail lights for most of the journey until I had lost sight of them. I was forced to pull off the roadway and wait for help.

Finally, two tractor-trailers appeared, which were followed by five other vehicles. I could then see the road and knew that I needed to back up about three feet. Then, an angel appeared. He stopped and asked if the car would move and offered to push it if needed. Once on the pavement, he mentioned that he would follow to ensure our safety.

Then, to our surprise, a second angel came to our assistance. He offered to turn on his hazard lights so that we could follow him through the raging blizzard. We were now between two angels. Angel No. 2 in the lead touched his brakes to signal an ice danger and Angel No. 1 followed at a distance so his headlights weren't annoying. Did they know each other? We may never know.

The normally 35-minute trip took two hours.

We would like to thank them for the great help that was rendered for a safe trip to home. These two angels saved us.
