Title: Preparing for dialysis
Post by: Vicky on February 01, 2009, 08:20:01 PM
What do we need to do?  Do we start picking up supplies like rubber gloves, masks, alcohol wipes?  is there some sort of "starter kit"?  We have a mail in prescription company will they supply everything we need or do we need to get some supplies on our own and if so what do we need?

First are you doing in center or home hemo?

In center provides everything to the patients.  Home hemo will get you started then ask you to call in supply orders every week or so.

His PD nurse will let him know everything that he will need to get on his own...most of the supplies will come from your clinic and the PD company, like baxter, etc....at least that is how it was for me.
