Here are some more pics. We were cutting firewood and took a lunch to eat. It was delicious!!
-
Wow! I bet all the work made the picnic even better tasting.
-
That's about as close to roughing it as you can get besides actually roughing it. It is cool that you stil enjoy the basics in life.
-
Nice photos Del. What a satisfying sounding day. Nice wood pile too.
-
Del, as I said last night, I am amazed at how wonderfully you and Walt handle being on dialysis :)
-
Monrein that's only one of about 20 woodpiles!!
-
That looked fun (well for me) to do. I like that kind of activity, just not camping because I don't want to find out if a bear does *&^% in the woods! Plus I like using indoor plumbing.
Looks like you had a nice day there. This time I did see people in the pictures. ;D
-
What great pictures, Del. Can't imagine how much work you two did, but it looks very calm and peaceful in the pictures. Thanks for sharing a little of your life with us.

Winter cook-outs are the best!
-
Wonderful pictures, thanks.

Love the photos!
What did you eat?
-
Great pictures :thumbup; Looks like lots of fun!

We had toast, cheese slices and tea. toast is delicious done for the fire. It toasts so fast that the bread doesn't dry out at all. Everything toasts so good outdoors!!
Hubby was the cook!!! Not bad for a guy who this August will celebrate 12 years on dialysis!!
Chris we don't camp out. I don't like the idea of wild animals could be around when I am asleep!!
-
I've slept out in the woods many, many times on wilderness canoe trips and been involved in one major bear "incident". I'll try to remember to post the story sometime. It was published in a collection of firsthand accounts of times when things go wrong in the woods. The title is "Gail, Lee and a Bear makes Three".

I SO miss Newfoundland.
Great pics :clap;
-
Great pics are you on your property?...Boxman
-
No not on our property boxman!!
-
Ahhhh I love life in the woods. I even miss my chainsaw, but no longer
have a wood stove so I let the trees grow and grow and grow!
Great pics, thanks for the memories and thanks for sharing!

Del- I love it when you send pictures of your end of the world, getting down to the basics and just loving what is around you, people should do that more often. I love to camp and raised my children to love it, oh the great outdoors :flower; :cheer: :flower;
