Hi all, I've been fighting kidney failure for 18 years. I was one of the lucky ones and was transplanted for 16 years of it. However, recently my transplanted kidney has failed and I am back on hemodialysis. I believe it is harder to be on diaylsis the second time around. The first time I was so young and innoccent and really didn't know what was happening. I am older and hopefully, wiser now, so I am very aware of what is going on and what is to come next. Also with the advanced age, I am not as able to adjust or be as willing to accept my fate. Some people might call that being stubborn. I'd rather think I'm an independent thinker. ;D No matter what it is called, I hate going through this all over again.

Short Stuff.... That is why my name is RERUN. I was on dialysis then a transplant for 17 years, then back on hemo. The second time around is like a bad RERUN. I felt that the second time around I wasn't scared of the unknown.... I was scared of the Known. It is better than it was 20 years ago. Somewhat..... the machines are quieter but all the stupid rules get to me.
I'm looking forward to your posts. :welcomesign;
