Title: Restless legs and exercise
Post by: swramsay on January 01, 2009, 07:37:56 PM
Yes...restless legs is also a symptom I'm experiencing. Only a few times - once pretty bad. I exercised the next day and my legs have been fine since. I notice some people 'walk it off' when they have episodes. To me, it makes sense that regular exercise can help prevent it but in my experience, I'm too new in this to know.

I have read a couple of threads on this topic and wonder... Are there any regular exercisers who experience restless legs? or others who have experienced relief of rls after exercising?

Thanks everyone! This forum is a Godsend.

Great to get answers that your doc can't supply, isn't it?  I get that occasionally.  I don't think I've ever kept track of whether or not it's worse when I'm not keeping up the exercise.  Hmmmm. . . .  The biggest correlation I've seen with mine is getting it less the better dialyzed I am.  Home dialysis made a big difference.
