Welcome to our community, Lilac. We are happy that you have joined us. this is a great place for information, support and even fun at times. We are family here. :grouphug;
I notice that you posted this question on the discussion board and I do hope you get some good answers there. What I do know is that itching can be due to high levels of phosphorus. You need to talk to your nephrologist about it.
Could you tell us a bit more about yourself in this thread? what kind of dialysis are you doing? In-center or home? How long have you been on dialysis? What caused your kidney failure, etc....?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Lilac :welcomesign; aboard. As for you question, let your Dr. or Dialysis Nurse know of your symptoms. Normally when I itch is because of high phosphorus level. I take 2 Tums with every meal as a binder. Be sure to talk with your Dr.

Hi,
I've done a lot of traveling, using different clinics. One thing I noticed was my back itching at one center and they suggested I bring an old sheet to put on their chair. Something about whatever the chair was covered with may have been the problem because once I used the old sheet, it pretty much went away.
