We have about two feet and are expecting another 7 to 10" by Christmas day...Boxman
-
It's beautiful to look at Boxman, but better you then me. I can't shovel snow like I use to and the cold makes my bones hurt. Are you singing White Christmas? :cuddle;
-
I'm in South Texas. Does that answer your question. ;)
Your home is beautiful, Boxman!
-
The singing I am going to leave too Bing Crosby, the shovel has been pushed a little by me in my electric chair but I also put on my leg and then hang onto the snow blower and clear the drive. Not easy but doable. I just love it when it is snowing out. What I miss is not to be able to get in my Jeep and go for a drive. Going through the neighborhoods at nite when hardly anyone is out and the snow is coming down, is so neat and peaceful., I would do it all the time then, find an empty parking lot and do donuts...Boxman
-
No, no, no not where I live, thank goodness. We are really cold {cold for Georgia} but no snow.
The weather is supposed to modify and by Xmas Eve we will have rain. Rain for Christmas
too. :christmastree; :christmastree;. I'm sorry for all the kids, rain on Xmas is the pits.
Merry Snoman to you.
Oh the splendor of it all!!!!!
-
Yep and we are getting more tonight :bandance; :bandance;
-
Since we in the Los Angeles basin only get a tiny bit of snow about every 30 years I don't think
we will get any this year. I thought we had a change when the first big storm hit last week since
it was a cold storm, but it was not that cold. If we ever get any appreciable snow here it will be
a complete disaster since nobody here knows how to drive in the snow and/or ice, especially those
with 4 wheel drive who think the drive solves any problems.
-
No snow here either... Boxman can I bring my kids over to play in your yard??????
-
Oh we will have snow, we had a nor' wester last night with another one on Wednesday... Storms usually are timed according to my dialysis days
-
That would suck. I thought of you guys this morning.
It is cold for us, 35 this am, and there was ice on my windshield. Can't imagine having to de-ice your car every other day just to go to dialysis! You guys are seriously amazing!!
-
No snow here either... Boxman can I bring my kids over to play in your yard??????
You betcha, and there is a sledding hill about 4 blocks away along with a skating rink. Anytime...Boxman
-

We take dog sleds to dialysis, leave the cars in the garage ;D ...Boxman
-
omg that would be seriously fun!!!!!!! :rofl;
-
The very little snow we got is covered in ice and we are expecting 3 to 6 inches with possible more rain/ice.
-
Nope. I Lived in Michigan for the First Fifty Seven Years of my Life, till I moved South. Fifty Seven Years was enough " Slip, Sliding " for me.
-
HELL yes we have snow for Christmas and probably won't get rid of the white crap until EASTER! I'm so pissed! The apartment building has only had us plowed out ONCE since last week! My car is buried.
:stressed;
-
One year we had a wicked snowstorm and Stephen's family could barely get here for Christmas Day. Another year we had an ice storm and were out of power for 5 days. Luckily that's the year I decided to cook seafood for Christmas dinner and my gas stove did the job! This year they are calling for a 20% chance of rain and temperatures in the 50s. Your house looks nice Boxman!
-
No snow here in So CA except for the higher mountain areas. Cold though, cold for here, anyway. I know Boxman is snorting at my mention of cold in CA!
-
We might have a little rain on Christmas, which would be okay with me.
I'm with you Kit, it gets below 48 and I am shivering LOL!
-
Yep, we will have a white Christmas. It snowed 10 inches on Friday, a couple more today, supposed to get a couple more tomorrow. I love having snow on Christmas, but it has also been very COLD!
-
we are supposed to get snow before christmas, but none for christmas eve (pout)
big steve, 4 wheel drive = 4 wheel slide
-
If my place get's snow for Christmas , there is something really wrong with this world !!!!

:rofl; ...Boxman

I still own a home in Sacramento and if I could get out of my driveway I'd be heading there. I'm sick of the snow already and we have more on the way. Plus it is cold..... 8 degrees for tonight.
:stressed;

Come to IL. It's 7 right now...and that's warm compared to yesterday!
I was sitting in the car shivering yesterday..my boyfriend goes "kidney failure sucks, huh? Well, maybe your kidneys will start working again since we freezing them!" Ah, he cares.
-
No snow predicted for southeast North Carolina on Christmas this year. Though it was quite chilly here yesterday, the forecast for Thursday is sunny and warm -- around 70 F.
-
We got hit with a coled blast and yahoo we will have snow for chrismass I rilly miss the snow and 4 seasons here in seattel we get 4 different kineds of rain . so snow is cool :rofl; :cheer: :cheer:
-
Ugh yes, we have over 2 feet of the white stuff thanks to our lovely back to back storms over the weekend. My dogs love it, but can barely run in it. My son absolutely LOVES this stuff, he was outside most of the day yesterday ( :2thumbsup;) and Rob and I hate it! I live in a valley, so we always get dumped a lot more than others.
It was -3 degrees yesterday, today will be in the 20's, tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 40's and sleet/rain, Christmas day it's supposed to be 40's and then after that it will get cold again. JOY! All this stuff will be a sheet of ice, ugh!
I have lived in New England all my life and I still can't get used to the cold and the snow.
-
Here in Southeastern Michigan, the snow is coming down right now. I already have several inches, and we are expected to have up to 7 more inches by the end of the day Christmas Eve. It's been really c-c-c-c-cold lately, so the snow doesn't compact, it just blows around, making us need to shovel constantly. The ice is the scariest part. I love having a white Christmas, but this is ridiculous.
-
We had about 15 cm of snow yesterday so yes it will be a white Christmas. The forecast for Christmas day is rain for some parts of Newfoundland and snow for other parts. I think we are in the part that is going to get snow. about 15 - 20 cm of snow. Supposed to rain for a few days after Christmas so it will probably disappear for a while again!! I really hope we don't get as much snow as we got last year!!!
Nice house boxman!! nice picture for a Christmas card!!
-
Snow, snow and more snow here! It started early this year, and doesn't look to be letting up any time soon.
I like a white Christmas, but enough already.
-
We finally got some decent snow fall. After shovelling the driveway, then I started to try to get the 2 to 4 inches of ice off the driveway. That took almost 4 hours to do. :o :urcrazy;
-
Tamara you know Vegas got snow just the other day... GLOBAL WARMING!
Still, it's sunny and warm outside as I look.... forecast is for 27C for Christmas Day (that's 80.6F). Sounds just purrfect!!!
:shy;
-
Here in Western Pennsylvania, it doesn't look good for a white Christmas.
-
Lots of snow here, but it's supposed to rain !!! (WTH) today and I'm not happy about that.
-
rain here too, and it is like 72 with LOTS of HUMIDITY! Yucky - Boxman watchout we are coming!!!!!
-
It is 10am here on Christmas Eve and the snow is coming down in big flakes. There is no wind so it is coming straight down. I just like to sit and listen and watch. What a beautiful day. Merry Christmas to all...Boxman
-
Oh Boxman, I am so jealous. It is cloudy and warm here and they are calling for rain and wind later today. Take some more pictures Box, I wish I could hear the the peaceful flakes falling. I bet it is beautiful. Merry Christmas. :cuddle;
-
Rain and more rain today and on Christmas day! To think ten years ago we went swimming in 85 to 90 degree weather on Christmas Eve.
-

it's the global warming LOL...Boxman
-
We had snow, then it rained, so now waiting for it to turn to ice.
-
at least i can close my eyes and remember that feeling... falling snow is so peaceful when nothing else is moving, especially at night like you mentioned before. Merry Christmas to you all! :christmastree; :snowman;
-
We've had a week of snow and ice. Odd for this part of the world, but it's snowing now, and Church is canceled, and we are settled down for a long winter's nap. Good Sleigh weather. :2thumbsup; :secret;
-
no snow
-
I was sitting out on the back porch a little while ago. It's warm for December and windy, too. The wind chimes were blowing in the breeze and the tree tops were a little wild. Plenty of stars but no moon in sight. Santa will be warm, but the landings might be a little tricky.
-
This was yesterday, the 23rd, now most of it is gone due to rain.
-
Cool now I know what house to look for when taking pictures for the other thread. :rofl; :rofl;
I'd post my front yard snow..but it's too dark. And one of my decorations is knee deep in snow. Poor Eeyore, Tigger, and Pooh. They didn't have a chance!
-
Ught OHHH, never thought of that! :o
-
Well Christmas Day is done here. We had beautiful weather. A bit cool for summer, but not too bad. a max of 22C which is closing in on 75F bright sunshine and a light breeze for most of the day. I took a long walk after lunch with my family and walked a bit over 7km's (about 5miles) and really enjoyed it though my feet did hurt when I got home. However it was very good for the exercise and walking through the gardens and enjoying the fresh(ish) air was lovely.
Tomorrow we are expecting 29C (~85F)
-
I want snow for Christmas please send some this way!
Alene
-
i have some for you..plus it's all hard with ice, so it may survive?
-
Our snow is ice incrusted. I have from 2 to 6 inches in height of sheets of this stuff on the side of my driveway. I can also send a gerbil or two if you like :rofl; That way the pawing at the ice will create snow inside the box and eventually be a snowglobe. A little yellow maybe, but a snowglobe of something no less. :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; ;D :urcrazy;
-
You guys are great!!!
Snow and ice for me and gerbils for Harry and Thurgood - that is if they ever get up off of the catnip-laced beach towel they've been partying on since last night.
-
Actually, gerbils are like kidney patients..they barely pee! So the snow would be pretty white still!
-
Snowing here right now...and my Florida family arrives this afternoon so everything should look nice and clean and Christmasy. Now, let's just hope the airport isn't turning away flights into Toronto.
-
I WANT SNOW!!!! I WANT SNOW!!!
Can you imagine! People here are saying how cold it is at night! We get as cold as 75º!!!
I am jealous of all you people with your snow stories. I WANT SNOW!!!!!
-
No you don't! With your thin blood you would freeze!
Here have field of snowmen!
:snowman; :snowman; :snowman; :snowman; :snowman;
:snowman; :snowman; :snowman; :snowman; :snowman;
-
Now it is freezing rain. Oh Joy. 5 feet of snow and now freezing rain. The snow will form this hard crust so you can walk on top of it. But the roads will be really slick. I think this is where they coined the term "Slick as Snot".
:waving;
-

you can have mine, especially if you let me have a day of 75 degrees so the stuff left on my driveway will go away. my house faces north and we are on the south side of the street, not enough sun to melt anything.
-
your homes in the snow are beautiful
the only snow we get is if we flock our tree
you get to have snow without having to drive across Texas for days and days and go into Colorado or New Mexico
life is unfair
-
We had a lot of snow last night and it is still coming down this morning. It's beautiful here right now and not too cold because of cloud cover.
-
:pics; Photos please :clap;
-
Here are some contrast shots then. It's still snowing here.
-
i'm oh, so ready for spring.
-
Can I say BBBRRRRRRR!
-
I love a day like this, especially if I don't have anything that has to be done. A walk in the newly fallen, still falling snow is delicious and I find it much warmer when it's actually snowing, if there's no wind. This snow is light and fluffy, it's still coming down and I've enjoyed watching it.
-
They are beautiful photos Monrein. I now know why your garden looks so beautiful green and lush, you have WATER. Unlike us down here living on water restrictions.
It seems strange to me here sitting with my aircon going full steam and you siting there in the gorgeous snow. I wish I could swap with you for a week. :cuddle;
Although I would find it hard driving in that!
-
wattle, you realize, don't you, those of us who are so tired of snow, "love to hate" you! and would descend on you in a heart beat if only we could. enjoy the air conditioning, i envy you.
-
I'm so sick of snow! Our "little" storm that was only supposed to bring 4-6 inches of snow brought us over a foot! Ugh! On top of the last storm we now have about 2 feet! My dogs love it though, they have a blast playing it and so does my son.
-
It was so hot here today... I am sure it would have melted all your snow over there.
I had to drive into the hospital (for some routine tests) so I dragged the kids in for the ride also. The outside temp read 44 degrees Celsius!! arggg Some of that was coming off the road but geeze it was really hot.
44C=111F
-
It is freezing here ---- 39 degrees F :clap;
but it is humid also and I think that makes it feel colder
when we were in Durgano we were in the snow with no jackets and it did not seem cold at all
wow -- your landscape changes
if we had that much snow in Conroe - we'd call a national diseaster
-
No, not for Christmas. But, maybe snow flurries tonight. Get that, in Tampa FL!!! Not since 1977. 1/4" could shut us down for a week.
Alene
-
I LOVE winter, I must admit tho that as I get older, I love it abitless
-
We got 6 inches of snow overnight! Most snow we have had in several years. But, like with Alene, it shuts everything down for days. The govenor declaired a state of emergency. Malls, banks, clinics, dialysis centers---all closed. My 5 and 7 year old grandskids had a great time. They have never seen this much snow. I had no where to go, big pot of beef vegetable soup simmering and was able to watch the inaguragion (with a sweet kitty curled up on my lap). Good day for me!
-
Snow for Christmas? Yes, and New Years and Valentines Day and Easter. We can only hope that it is gone by the Fourth of July or it puts out the fuses on the fireworks!!
Come one Spring. I AM ready!
;D
-
ok.....
I want more snow photos!!! It is going to be hot again tomorrow and I need some cooling down. :)

I'm about two hours south of Paris (not Paris, France -- Paris from IHD), and we had four inches of the white stuff on Tuesday. Yes, here in southeastern North Carolina, four inches of snow shuts down everything. No school yesterday, and no school today. Banks, businesses, and everything else shut their doors and went home. It was beautiful (I love to watch it come down), but now I'm ready for it to melt. The last time I remember having this much snow was about eight or nine years ago. Usually, we only have a few flakes here and there. The last two-three years, we haven't had any snow at all. I took some pictures, Wattle, and I'm going to try to get them downloaded.
-
??? petey gets snow in southern NC and we didn't see a flake. What's up with that? :banghead;
-
It seems like NC gets snow when the storm comes from the south and cold air is pushing down from the North. Petey is right--it has been 8 or 9 years since we have had such a nice snow. Our year round schools have to go Saturday to make up a day of school. Friday it will be around 60, so the snow event is almost over.
