Title: feeling tired after CAPD in the morning?
Post by: theone on December 18, 2008, 01:04:39 PM
I just started CAPD with the cycler  2 days ago. I felt tired in the morning after CAPD for about 1 hour. And after that, I felt much better.

Is this normal because of all the drain/dwell/fill cycles going on all night?

Anyone out there has similar problem. If so, how do you resolves this?

Thanks

Hi, well Im usually tired in the mornings because the machine wakes me up a few times during the night. Also, are you losing dwell time? If so maybe you are not getting a good clean yet.

I am sometimes tired because when I sleep on my side, I don't drain and I set off the alarms. Then I need to get on my back and reset the box. When I sleep through I am usually ok. You may need to adjust or add a day or evening dwell. (Actually, your Neph will do this based on your tests.)

My wife just started PD with the baxter cycler about a month ago. After the first few nights she felt the same way; we attributed it it problems sleeping - the noise from the machine, mostly. She's gotten pretty used to it by now (I'm still getting there) and she doesn't feel any different in the morning (i.e. she doesn't feel tired or bad, etc...). Not sure if that's the problem you're having, but good luck.
