Title: Unusual Dialysis Unit Locations

Are you a patient at or have you ever seen a dialysis unit in an unusual location?  One day we were shopping at Pearlridge Mall which is in Pearl City Hawaii (overlooking Pearl Harbor).  I couldn't believe my eyes when from inside the main mall where a large store obviously once was there was a dialysis unit  Instead of walking through the sliding glass doors into a store I walked through them and was on a dialysis floor!  Must be nice for the patients...plenty of free parking and a full food court right outside the unit...all in air conditioned comfort.  There must be other stranger than fiction dialysis units...where?

Reno has a unit that sits on a hill overlooking the entire city of Reno. Beautiful sunsets when I visited there.

One of my nurses told me a couple of weeks ago that there's a resort somewhere in Kuala Lumpur (she is Malaysian and worked there) that has an inbuilt dialysis centre in the resort... so you can say book a week's holiday there and have your sessions right there in the resort. What a great idea?

I have even thought about seeing if I can organise to go there myself.. it's only 8 hours away by plane and would be cool to fly internationally again...

Isn't the dialysis machine enough of a gamble for you?
