It was in the 70s in coastal Virginia today. Snow is pretty, but I do not like the cold.

Snow here too in Santa Fe, TX.
My hubby and I and our two adult roomates just came in from building a snowman. Now we are enjoying good old fashioned hot cocoa with Hershey's mint kisses.
And Twirl, did I read that you opened your SS gift? That's not fair! (As the resident 3 year old in the house would say!) I say we all do it then. Mutiny!!!
-
twirl, send me your gift. You are grounded.
No snow here. 77 degrees and lots of butterflies and hummingbirds in the garden. :waving;
-
A snow ball down the back for the present opener!
(HA! Kitkat sent me one, and I opened mine, too!)
-
I am sort of innocent
it did not say SS on it
Merry Christmas is what it said
and I adore the little dog
and it made me feel better and you know that is the aim of our SS's
Kitz knows I do not wait to open presents
I wonder if Rerun has peeped- I hope she has == then I know she is a cheat like me :shy;

OK I guess I can't open mine until New Year's now! Sorry Twirl!
We have had snow once around Thanksgiving. Now another big storm coming this weekend. The kids out back made a snowman and Pebbles was scared to death of it. She ran from it looking back to see if it was chasing her. She is 12 and a California girl. This is her first winter with snow. I had brought her up for Christmas before so she knows how to poop in snow but it took her awhile.

It been raining here for 2 days now...and I just remembered our chihuahua we had in AZ years ago. She was our baby and would not go out if her feet would heaven forbid have to touch snow or rain water so our youngest son figured out that if he held her and aimed her at wherever she was supposed to do her stuff she would and then come right in. She passed away in 1988 from a fever that affected many dogs and horses that summer, the vets had no way to save them..hopefully now that would not be a problem for precious Dodi.

Twirl you can keep the snow! In fact, I hope it snows more in Texas than in Massachusetts! We have only had a dusting so far of snow, nothing more this year. Very unusual for us, we usually have snow by this time. Last year it didn't stop snowing, it was always on the ground. I HATE snow, it's cold and yucky!
I'm sitting here jealous of Karol though, 77 degrees with butterflies and hummingbirds? Only in my dreams..... :flower;

I like snow, especially in the countryside because it gets dirty so fast in the city. I get sick of it by the time spring finally arrives but I love seasons. Even though I grew up in Jamaica I don't do very well any more in seriously hot weather and only like to visit my family in southern Florida in November or February. I also like winter clothes.
-
I HATE snow!!! Well I guess I don't really hate it because it does look pretty but he causes so many problems. I hate having to wear a heavy coat and boots. In Newfoundland you are sure to get snow. Last year we had snow on the ground in November and it stayed until well into April!! Lots of it!! This year the only bit we have is what fell last night and that is just a dusting on the ground. That will be gone again by tomorrow afternoon with the temp supposed to be above 10 celcius tomorrow. By January I am itching to see flowers in bloom again and daffidols don't usually bloom here until at least early May. I think the reason I don't like it is because hubby had to drive to dialysis for 6 years no matter what the weather. Sometimes it was in the middle of snow storms. I wish there were butterflies here now okarol!!
-
Today we are having a monsoon.
-
We had an ice storm overnight and after 2 days of pure rain, everything is a mess here. Floodwatch is on alert and in my part of the state the kids have no school. Bummer! It's not like you can send them out in this stuff!
What's worse than a snow day from school with no snow? Being punished on a snow day. My son is not a happy camper today and neither am I! Calgon, take me away!
-
it was 80 degrees in Ocala Florida today, my Granddaughter has never seen snow. I'm going to have to take her to Ohio (relatives there) so she can see snow this year or I'll never hear the end of it. I had originally promised her last year, but had been on dialysis for 6 mo. in Dec 07 and did not feel brave enough to attempt travel.
-
We got 12" last nite. Half the people at dialysis never showed up for their treatment...Boxman
-
We got 20+ inches and everyone is still digging out. I do have a ride to dialysis tonight since last night was cancelled.
-
We've had about 20 centimetres. About 8 inches. We were anticipating a worse hit. I wish I weren't in bed with this cold though because I love an evening walk in fresh fallen snow. Usually no wind and everything so clean and renewed.
-
It's about 65 F and windy here right now. More rain today. Not a snowflake in sight.
-
I want SNOW!
Not the ice we have and a dusting of snow. Wish I was by the Wisconsin border, they had up to 14 inches according to local news. Ohare Airport, 2 inches, whoopee! 2 inches is nothing. Send your snow towards the south end of Chicago please. ;D
