Sorry to hear of your Loss mike.
You will met again one day
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

-
Mikey, I'm so sorry you lost your furbaby. What happened? Was she sick very long? I'm so sorry it is one of the hardest things in life. May her memories comfort you.
-
Thank you for all of your love and support. Ruth had diabetes for many years and her kidneys stopped working. She stopped eating and drinking.
She was sick for about a week.
I've attached a couple of photos below of Ruth. :thx; again for the support.
-
she was a very pretty cat. :cuddle;

:cuddle; We will all miss her.

You gave her a good life Mikey. :cuddle;

What a beautiful kitty! I want to say again how sorry I am for your loss, Mikey.

I'm sorry mikey, sometimes we depend so much on the happiness our pets bringus in their short time here. Bless Queen Ruth for the joy she brought to your life.
-
I am so sorry. Our pets love us so unconditionally and leave such an emptyness in our hearts. Lots of love and hugs for you :cuddle;
-
Ahhhhhh... what a shame Mike. I know you are in for some sad days. I don't know if cats and
dogs go to heaven, but I sure hope I get to see my little Tammy again. My thoughts are with
you.
Love, Mimi

What a beauty she was, I always felt as if she was part of our IHD family - little Queen Ruth - and I'll miss her. Bless you in your loss Mikey, hope you can look back on the good times soon. :grouphug;

Gorgeous cat. Are you up to sharing some memories of The Queen?
-
Ruth was a very good kitty.
Originally, I adopted her and her sister Naomi about 12 years ago. They had been abused prior to me adopting them. It took months of patience and love to get them to come out of hiding. Eventually, they both became very loving, cuddly cats. Naomi died of fatty liver disease six years ago. Ruth had become almost like a dog in a cats body. She greeted me when I came home from work and wanted to be petted and picked up often. She slept in the bed on top of me or next to me. When I was very sick, she would cuddle me and watch over me. Every time I went to the bathroom, I needed to sit -- so she could walk up and be petted (And told how pretty she was.) When I took a shower she would lie down outside the shower. When I cooked in the kitchen she would follow and keep me company. She was always under foot as my furry best friend. I miss her terribly. :'(
-
Ahh man, what a loss. So sorry mickey
-
oh Mikey :(
-
She sounds like she was a real sweetie. It makes me very glad to know you took Ruth and her sister in from an abusive situation and provided them with a loving home.
It is a great loss, and we are all here for you. :cuddle;
-
It's so tough Mikey. :cuddle;
Tell me something, would you ever consider adopting a successor to Queen Ruth? You'd make a great new Dad, er I mean butler.
-
Mikey
how are you doing
thinking about you and concerned twirl
I miss Queen Ruth and her posts
I really loved her
-
Twirl, I am still very sad. I still cry a lot. But I know that Ruth is in a better place now. I loved her very much too.
Things will get better. I am moving closer to my family in a couple of weeks. Once I settle in, I plan on adopting a kitty and becoming his or her loyal servant.
-
I only just saw this thread. Once again we have to say some difficult goodbyes. I considered Queen Ruth as part of our IHD family and never even thought of the possibility of her not being around. Thanks for sharing her with us, and now sharing her passing and her legacy with us.
You have many cyberhands holding yours today.
-
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat last year. I had her since I was 8. She was 23 when she finally passed away. I feel your pain. :cuddle;
