Title: Hello, 'nuther newbie here...
Post by: jazzin11 on December 05, 2008, 11:45:51 PM: Hello there, I am John...51 years old and just started on dialysis on Sept. 11. Didn't like it at first, but have since gotten somewhat used to it, and really do feel a lot better than before. Funny how you don't realize just how sick you are until it hits you in the face.

I'm a refinery control systems engineer in the Pacific Northwest, Bellingham, WA. Married with four kids, and still have a young one at home. This has been a real change in lifestyle, and juggling the time between dialysis and work is a challenge! I'm looking forward to learning new things and getting to know some of you here!

I too am a September starter (2005) and I do agree that i have become used to it and i do feel much better these days. You didn't say which kind of dialysis you are doing. I am glad that you are still able to work. I know about the juggling. But the important thing is that we are still around to make a difference in the lives of our loved ones. You now have a new family - the IHD family! :grouphug;. You will find that this is the place to be when you need information, support, or even some fun. So keep reading and keep posting.
