Title: Heart Failure
Post by: Danally on December 04, 2008, 05:55:57 PM
My dad is still in the hospital. Today he had an angiogram and they said his main arteries are still open but some of his smaller ones are closed. The doctor said he will be alright if he changes his diet an loses weight. I am afraid he is going to keep on getting extra water on his lungs. Does anyone have information or suggestions for him. I can use all of the help I can get.

My fiance, Ron has the same problem with the extra water gathering on his lungs.  Have they found your dads dry weight, that was Rons problem at that time. The center never really found out what it was until he filled up with fluid like that and had to have 3 stents put in the main front arterie. Now he is on peritoneal and we are keeping the water under control with the strengths of dialysate. He might try that or if he is on hemo, he may have to make an extra trip. Hope this helps. Maybe you could shoot them some questions about dry weight and all
