I love your Nativity.  Your house looks very inviting and full of the holiday spirit.   My mother always wrote a Christmas letter and every year at the top she wrote "It is Christmas at our house, the door is open wide,  It is Christmas at our house, don't knock, just come inside"   A favorite song of hers.   That is what your house looks like -- you're ready, come on it!

I've done the simplified version of decorating the last few years.  I put a wreath on the door, a simple string of white lights around the porch rail, and few cherished Christmas ornaments and knickknacks out on the mantel.  It's quick to do, easy to dismantle, and it helps my christmas mood without wearing me out.
One of my friends stopped by with her 5 year old about a week before Xmas last year.  The first words out of her mouth were "Where's your tree?"  When I explained that I didn't put one up, she was horribly worried for me.  Without a tree, where would Santa put my presents?  Too cute!

I just said OHHHHH...that is beautiful.  I would do that but Saul's ex always spent his money asap and did more than New York Times Square so I try to keep low key but still nice.  Wow that is a beautiful room.  I may do that next year just for me.

I love both the outside and inside pics but I do especially like the inside pics.   The reindeer and snow is a neat idea!  I could just "feel" Christmas when I seen the inside of your house!  GREAT JOB, JP!!!   :clap;

Joe Paul, I bet I would really like you wife.  One of these days, when I am in Ohio, I will have to make a side trip over to PA.  My family all comes from Butler PA.   Tell your wife she did a great job on the inside.  You two are a good team!

My sister lives near Zanesville, Ohio and it really isn't a bad drive to the Butler area.  We might have to have a mini meet in your area.  Where does Romona live?   Hey, Romona --how close are you to Pittsburgh?

Back on topic, Joe Paul has inspired me to get all my decorations up.  Beth has helped a lot and tonight two of my grands are spending the night, Eliza, 9 and Emma 7.  They are going to help put ornaments on the tree.   I may have to redo part of it tomorrow, but it will be fun watching them tonight!

I have had a really difficult time getting inspired about Christmas decorating ever since the hurricane.  I don't know why, really.  It just doens't seem the same.  I used to decorate like crazy.  I liked doing it.  My husband thinks I over do it.  Kind of takes the fun out of it for me, at least a little bit.  But, Joe Paul is inspiring me.  :-*

I put up the Christmas decoration in the living room with the help of my Mom today! I have picture proof, too!

The light houses
More lighthouses
The snow man and santa collection
The pirate chest and box collection
The fireplace
The Christmas tree

I did the box and treasure chest decorations off the top of my head.  This is the first decorating for Christmas other than a little tree in years and years! Since we have the One foot Wonder I thought a pirate chest would be appropriate!  :rofl;
My lighthouse collection just fit right into the decoration theme.

This the first time I think I have decorated an entire living room for Christmas. Usually I just do the tree and that is it.

My Mom and I were thinking about taking the large log we have sitting in front of the house and lighting it up and calling it our yule log!  Hehehe!
