Title: Cool Christmas Gifts
Post by: kellyt on November 25, 2008, 01:47:10 PM
Being stuck at home I've been doing my Christmas shopping on QVC.  I just love when the boxes arrive!!

I ordered these really cool house slippers (Men's) for my brothers.  They vibrate and massage your feet!  They are super cool!!   They run on 1 AAA battery in each shoe.  I took them out and put batteries in them and, of course, tried them out!  hee hee    I can't wait for them to open and wear their shoes!

Go to QVC.com and search for them.  I believe they were $19.98.

What cool Christmas gifts have you found?  Share!!!!!!!    :clap;

I ordered dandelion wine for my father-in-law from a little winery in North Dakota.  He loves it, and hasn't had it in years, since the lovely older lady who used to live next door passed away.  I never know what to get him, so it's nice to find something I know he will like, and can't get around here.

I received a portable DVD player from my family a few years ago. It was a complete surprise. I was expecting DVDs and crap gifts (those gift you say thank you for and bury in the closet.)

My son's girlfriend played the Lion in the high school's performance of 'Wizard of Oz'.  I found UNO cards in the 'Wizard of Oz' theme!!  She'll love them.

Take your B&N gift card and go buy "The Christmas Sweater" by Glenn Beck.  I hear it is a great gift/book.  I bought it on CD for my friend Pam and then when she is done she gives it back.

Just a thought.

On www.mym&ms.com you can order personalized M&M's - even with your photo on them!  Not too expensive either.  I think $12.99 for a 7 oz bag, but I believe there is a minimum order of 3 bags.  Probably better if you were getting them for a wedding or birthday.  I'm considering doing an order with my photo and my husband's photo and giving them to the grandkids!

I love B and N cards. Save one for me, too. I have averaged from the school kids one gift a year the last ten years!

my family shouldn't have a problem this year i actually have a christmas list. the last few years i've just said "oh, i dunno, anything. all my shopping for family is done, or at least planned with the exception of declan, the 2 year old. while i know he would just love the very big stuffed bear we saw, his mother would have to decide who to keep, the bear or the boy. but then i still have a month i can get into lots of trouble.

I am in absolute agreement.  We meet Kelly in Vegas - a young vibrant lady.  when we saw the video of her granddaughter, my daughter and I were totally shocked!!!

jbeany, can I get the link. My Dad use to make it when we where kids. We would go out in the yards and pick them for him. I remember drinking some and got a little buzzed. It would be fun to get some for him...Boxman
