I just was told on D&T City (http://groups.msn.com/DialysisTransplantCity/kidneynews.msnw?action=get_message&mview=1&ID_Message=6079) forums that there is a blind lady who was able to do dialysis at home. Read about her here (http://www.homedialysis.org/v1/profiles/profiles/lindas.shtml).
It was such an amazing story that I wanted to share and inspire anyone worried about vision (now or in the future) impairing them and being unable to do dialysis anymore. This was an inspiration to me even though I have near perfect vision.
I was always told from my unit that people with even poor site can't do dialysis. That was the whole reason why this one guy in my unit who is a very well known radio personality, had to do Hemo.

I know a few patients who are blind on dialysis. Their blindness was caused because off diabetes.
