Title: A Good Day (NOT!!!)
Post by: 2_DallasCowboys on November 13, 2008, 03:39:44 AM
Hi,
Hope I am putting this in the rite place!

Well, Hubby has D at 6 AM -  I was in bed, but
thought I heard a loud BAM this morning- yep,
he did not wait for the garage door to open.
He did a nice number on it, it would not go up nor
down.  Tahnk goodness  he did no damage to the
car (I Luv my lil ole Tracker) but we had to call
the cops to get him to his appt.  This, of course,
was a big deal in itself- the cop needed to write an
accident report, hahahaha!  Then needed permission
to ride Les to his "appt" which is 10 mins from the house.

I called the garage door guy, and using the fact that we
also have my 92 yr old mother (who is sharper in mind than
many 20 yr olds) living with us and I need to have access to
getting out of the house, he said he will be here this AM.

So, apprx. $450 dollars later (so far, till he gets here and sees
the damage) all is OK.

Just thought I would let you all know what happened before the
sun came up, maybe I should stay in bed all day till tomorrow!
 :stressed; :rofl; :waiting; :rofl;

 :rofl;  I am sorry to laugh
but I am only laughing a tiny, tiny chuckle
sounds like a sit-com and the tool guy did it
sorry about your day
and please stay in bed all day - you deserve it
it was rude to chuckle but I can just see it in my mind
and imagine me doing that
I leave for D at 5:20 am and usually I am not in the best mood
please have a better morning

Thanks, twirl!

chuckles are allowed and welcome!

I cannot wait to tell my mother, who I will be
getting up in a few minutes, what happened.

At 92, she is very funny, and can still have the bite
of a pitbull when asked to do something she does not
want to do  :rofl;

I called my hubbys "place" just to be sure all is OK and he is fine,
so that is what is important after all

What a way to wake up!  Pull the covers over you head and sleep until tomorrow!   I hate spending money on stupid things, so I would be in a really bad mood today.  But, I couldn't show it because I wouldn't want to make my husband feel bad.    Thankfully the car is ok.   :grouphug;

I can imagine how hubby feels running into a closed garage door.  :rofl;

I once put Victor's walker behind the car and forgot about it and ran it over. Smart!

Hey, Guys!!

My Mother's comment when I got her out of bed was "I'm glad I didn't have my hearing aides in, so I
missed all the noise!"  She also did comment that people were much better off without all the contraptions
we have today (Ihear that all the time from her)  'cause if ya had to open the door by hand you wouldn't
forget about it

Oh, by the way the door set us back $400.00   I am really, really trying to "faget about it", Les feels bad
enough!  I just know that in my evil lil ole woman's mind, tho, I have filed this one away, to be used in the
future, when I do somethin' stupid, teehee! :clap; :rofl; :clap;

Dallas!   I was so looking forward to hearing what Mama had to say and that did not surprise me one bit as a matter of fact, made me smile when she said what she said about "the contraptions today"   :rofl;  I too, have heard that from my dear and wonderful stepdad, who is 77 years old........even tho he is quite a bit younger than your dear Mama, he still makes comments like that.   God bless them, ya know it?    ;)  Oh, about that "filing system", yeah, it can be a great thing but it can also be a horrible thing too!    :rofl; ;)
